Vice President Technical Operations at Philadelphia Gas Works

Daniel Cassidy has extensive work experience in the energy and engineering sectors. Daniel worked at Philadelphia Gas Works from 1990 to 2003 as a Senior Staff Engineer, responsible for various functions in natural gas processing facilities. Daniel then joined Johnson & Johnson in 2003 and held various roles over the years, including Senior Facility Engineer, Manager of Regional Maintenance and Engineering, and finally, Sr. Manager of Energy & Conservation - Americas. In these roles, they oversaw energy management, sustainability initiatives, utility consumption, and budget ownership. Daniel also managed maintenance, engineering services, GxP compliance, and energy management at pharmaceutical R&D sites. In 2019, they joined Philadelphia Gas Works again as the Vice President of Technical Operations.

Daniel Cassidy earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from Temple University, which they attended from 1984 to 1988. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) at the University of Delaware, where they studied from 1988 to 1990. In addition to their formal education, Daniel obtained several certifications throughout their career, including LEED AP O+M from the US Green Building Council in 2011, Certified Energy Manager and Green Building Engineer from the Association of Energy Engineers in 2004, and Professional Engineer from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 1995.
