Raquel Guzmán

Raquel Guzman is a seasoned legal professional with over 25 years of experience in various roles within municipal and corporate law. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Administration and General Counsel at Philadelphia Gas Works since 1998, Raquel manages the Legal Department and oversees outside counsel. Previously, as Deputy City Solicitor for the City of Philadelphia, Raquel provided real estate and transactional counsel to significant city clients, including the Philadelphia International Airport. Earlier experience includes an Associate Attorney position at Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP, specializing in real estate matters. Additionally, Raquel began their career as a Summer Intern at the Social Security Administration, where expertise as a certified Spanish translator was also obtained. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and a Bachelor's degree in History from Harvard University, where graduation was achieved with Magna Cum Laude honors.
