Bobbi I. Booker

Bobbi I. Booker serves as the president of The Pen & Pencil Club, Inc., the oldest daily press guild in the U.S., fostering networking among press members. Since June 1999, Bobbi has been a jazz host and producer for WRTI, creating popular shows such as "Jazz Through the Night" and "Spirit Soul Music." As a contributing writer for Philadelphia magazine and a features writer for Dosage Magazine, Bobbi covers diverse topics including politics and culture. Bobbi's experience includes a master's in journalism from Temple University and various roles in education, media production, and reporting, with significant tenure at The Philadelphia Tribune and numerous radio stations. Committed to arts journalism, Bobbi has received fellowships from prestigious institutions including Columbia University and Duke University. Additionally, Bobbi is involved in the Gerontological Society of America's Journalists in Aging Fellows Program.
