Michael Moran has over 38 years of experience in the building industry, with a focus on building surveying. Michael has worked on various projects including the Cairns Airport Redevelopment, One One One Eagle Street office tower in Brisbane, Brisbane Supreme Court, and Kogan Creek Power Station. Michael is a member of the Queensland Building and Development Tribunal and has served as an expert witness on legal building matters. Michael has also held positions as a Building Surveyor at Brisbane City Council and Pine Rivers Shire Council. Currently, Michael is a Development Tribunal Referee at the Department of Housing and Public Works (Queensland).
Michael Moran has a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Construction Management from QUT (Queensland University of Technology), which they obtained from 1993 to 1998. Michael also has an Associate Diploma Applied Science (Building) from Ithaca TAFE, where they studied from 1986 to 1989. In addition, they hold a Graduate Certificate in Building Fire Safety from QUT, which they earned in 1998.
