Carlos Formigal

Carlos Formigal serves as the PMI IT Hub Portugal Site Manager at Philip Morris International since September 2020, overseeing a community of over 200 IT professionals and eight different IT platforms. With a strong focus on engineering, Carlos also heads the Software Development and Engineering for Industrial and Consumer IoT, managing applications and services that support PMI's global manufacturing ecosystem. Prior experience includes roles as Principal Engineer at CEC International, where Carlos served as Director of Hardware Engineering and Commercial Director, responsible for sales strategy and commercial support. Earlier positions include Technical Manager at OniWay, focusing on 3G network rollout, Implementation Manager at Lucent Technologies - Bell Labs Innovations, and TAC Programmer at Siemens. Carlos holds degrees in Engenharia Electrotécnica, Telecomunicações e Electrónica from Instituto Superior Técnico and additional education from Stevens Institute of Technology.
