Michael Owens

Michael Owens, PhD, is a seasoned global R&D executive with over 20 years of experience in the medical device industry. They hold a PhD in Materials Science from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and a BS in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Currently, Michael serves as the Vice President of R&D at Philips, where they previously held roles as Head of R&D Diagnostic & Therapy Devices and Head of R&D Therapy Solutions. Michael has also contributed significantly in leadership positions at Covidien, Spectranetics, and Boston Scientific, specializing in process innovation within clinical programs.
