Michael Zhang is currently the R&D Director of Solid State Lighting (LED) at Philips Lighting, a position held since 2010. Previously, they served as an Engineering Manager and later as Director of Engineering at the same company from 1997 to 2005. Michael is pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Illinois Chicago, while also holding a BS and an MS in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering, respectively, from Tsinghua University.
