Sastry Kasibhatla is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the medical imaging field, currently serving as a CT/AMI Sr. Serviceability Architect at Philips Healthcare since September 2003. In this role, Sastry is responsible for defining service architecture and design roadmaps for CT/AMI products, while also leading high-impact technology initiatives. Previous positions at Philips include Senior Manager of Systems, where management of a global engineering team took place, as well as roles as Lead Systems Engineer for premium CT products and Senior Manager of Systems Engineering. Prior to joining Philips, Sastry worked as an Independent Consultant at Premier Medical Diagnostics Systems and as a Research Associate at Plexar Associates, Inc., focusing on various medical imaging modalities. Sastry holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Akron, along with degrees in Biological Sciences and Electronics & Electrical Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and informal research experience in wireless communications from Delft University of Technology.
