Andrea Rivera Diaz is an accomplished undergraduate research assistant at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, focusing on statistical analysis of cancer genomic data under Dr. Giovanni Parmigiani. Currently involved in the Harvard Summer Program in Biostatistics and Computational Biology, Andrea has gained expertise in biostatistics, programming, health data science, and artificial intelligence. As co-president of La Organización de Puertorriqueños en Harvard, Andrea fosters inclusivity and awareness of Puerto Rican culture at Harvard. Additional roles include serving as a hometown recruiter for the Harvard Financial Aid Initiative, editor for The Harvard Undergraduate Research Journal and Harvard Science Review, and conference liaison for Harvard College Latinos in Health Careers. Andrea has an impressive academic background with a BA from Harvard University, an MS from the University of Oxford, and is pursuing an MD at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.
