Braley Burke serves as the Integrated Pest Management Specialist at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, where responsibilities include coordinating an environmentally responsible IPM program, managing biological control releases, researching least toxic pesticides, and educating staff on proper practices. Previously, Braley Burke was a Graduate Research Assistant in Dr. Yong-Lak Park's lab at West Virginia University, focusing on the effects of imidacloprid on non-target organisms. Additional experience includes roles as a Pesticide Regulatory Officer with the West Virginia Department of Agriculture, Biological Science Technician with the U.S. Forest Service, Student Worker at the West Virginia University Organic Research Farm, and Intern at the Schrader Environmental Education Center. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Entomology and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Protection, both from West Virginia University.
