Nienke Nijenhuis is a Mechanical Design Engineer at PHIX Photonics Assembly since April 2020, focusing on the packaging of photonic integrated circuits. Nienke's prior experience includes roles as a Junior Mechanical Engineer at QING Groep and VIRO, where projects involved assignments for Thales and tooling for Zeiss, both during the WIMM traineeship. A traineeship at IMS involved work on a lens assembling machine. Nienke's early experience includes a Werkstudent position at Stichting Kantine Sportcentrum Universiteit Twente and an internship at Lappeenranta University of Technology, which focused on literature research combining Biomimetics and TRIZ. Nienke holds a Master’s degree and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Twente.
