Eva van Rooij is the Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at Phlox Therapeutics since March 2022. Additionally, Eva serves as a Professor of Molecular Cardiology and Associate Professor at UMC Utrecht while also leading a research group at the Hubrecht Institute focusing on Developmental Biology and Stem Cell Research since January 2013. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Director and Director of Biology at miRagen Therapeutics, Inc. from 2009 to 2013, and a postdoctoral instructor at UT Southwestern Medical Center from 2005 to 2009. Eva van Rooij holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from Maastricht University, earned between 1997 and 2000.
