Wael Azer

Wael Azer, DO, currently serves as the ER Medical Director at HCA Healthcare since February 2018 and is a board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician at Phoebe Putney Health System since July 2015. Prior to these roles, Wael Azer worked as an emergency medicine physician at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center from July 2011 to June 2015 and completed residency training in Emergency Medicine at St. Joseph's Healthcare System during the same period, where involvement included instructing an Advanced Emergency Ultrasound Course and leading a SimWars Simulation Competition. Wael Azer's medical career began as a Registered Nurse at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and LibertyHealth Jersey City Medical Center, focusing on critical care in cardiac units between 2006 and 2009. Academically, Wael Azer holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from NYCOM, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UMDNJ, and a Master of Business Administration from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
