Helen Jean

Helen Jean is the Jacquie Dorrance Curator of Fashion Design at Phoenix Art Museum. Helen has previously worked as a shop assistant and project manager at the Arizona Opera Company and as a lead instructor and team manager at The Art Institutes.

Jean has a track record of successfully planning and coordinating symposia, fashion shows, workshops, photo shoots and networking events. Helen is an experienced event planner and marketing campaign coordinator, and has managed teams of up to 5 adjuncts. Jean is also skilled in fiscal responsibility and has coordinated equipment purchases and repairs for a budget of $3000 annually.

Helen Jean's educational career began with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Stephens College. Helen then went on to earn a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

They are on a team with Nikki DeLeon Martin - Deputy Director, Janet Baker - Curator of Asian Art, and Gilbert Vicario - Curator of Contemporary Art. Their manager is Jeremy Mikolajczak, The Sybil Harrington Director & CEO.
