Ken Chantavat

Ken Chantavat has extensive experience in laboratory operations and management. Ken is currently working at Phoenix Children's as the Administrative Director of Clinical Laboratory Operations. In this role, they oversee the efficient daily operation of the Clinical Laboratory for all PCH facilities.

Prior to joining Phoenix Children's, Ken worked at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - Madison as the Laboratory Operations Manager. Ken provided leadership and oversaw the technical and operational activities of the Regional Core Laboratory, including Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, and Flow Cytometry departments.

Before that, Ken served as the Director of Laboratory Services at Southwest Health - Platteville, where they supervised a high complexity acute care hospital laboratory and two provider-performed microscopy clinic laboratories.

Ken also has experience as the Laboratory Manager at Edgerton Hospital and Health Services, where they supervised all aspects of laboratory operations.

Ken Chantavat has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Clinical Laboratory Science from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, which they obtained from 2008 to 2011. Ken also completed multiple post-baccalaureate certificate programs at Michigan State University, including Immunodiagnostics and Clinical Flow Cytometry from 2014 to 2015, Molecular Laboratory Diagnostics from 2013 to 2014, and Managing Biomedical Laboratory Operations from 2013 to 2014. Additionally, Ken obtained a Medical Laboratory Scientist certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) in 2011. Ken has also obtained several additional certifications, such as Foundations of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, Hiring, Managing, and Separating from Employees, Inventory Management Foundations, Lean Six Sigma Foundations, Process Improvement Foundations, Strategic Planning Foundations, and Succession Planning, from LinkedIn in 2023.
