Norman Pretzl has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Norman is currently the Co-Founder and CFO at Phoenix Games, a worldwide collective of free-to-play games companies. Prior to this, they worked at flaregames as the Director of Finance and Administration, where they focused on creating and bringing high-quality mobile games to smartphones and tablets. Before that, Norman was an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company, where they advised large German corporates and banks on strategic projects. Norman also co-founded Wasabi Co and served as the CFO. Norman started their career as an Associate in the Investment Banking Division at Citi, where they advised on M&A transactions for German corporates and worked in the Global Financial Institutions Group in New York. Norman also had an internship at Goldman Sachs. Additionally, Norman gained experience as a working student at Elektrisola (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., where they worked in production planning.

Norman Pretzl pursued their education in a sequential manner, starting with their Master's degree (Diplom) in Industrial Engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Norman attended KIT from 1993 to 2001.

In 1999, they had an opportunity to participate in an exchange program, enrolling in the second year of the MBA graduate program at Vanderbilt University - Owen Graduate School of Management. This program focused on the field of Finance and lasted for a year.

After completing their degree at KIT, Norman took a step further to enhance their knowledge in the field of Finance. From 2004 to 2005, they attended the London Business School, where they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Finance.
