Charles Inglese has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Charles started their career in 2006 as a Systems Engineer at Lockheed Martin, where they performed enterprise systems administration for Windows, Unix, and Linux infrastructure. Charles also worked as a Systems Integration & Test Engineer, Business Operations Financial Analyst, and Software Engineer during their tenure at Lockheed Martin.
In 2011, Inglese joined Data Tactics as a Cloud/Linux Lead Systems Integrator, where they analyzed and evaluated existing and proposed systems and developed computer programs and procedures for data processing. Charles also handled data integration, configuration, and management of cloud components.
In 2014, Inglese worked at Reinventing Geospatial, Inc (RGi) as a Systems Architect, focusing on systems integration and automation of GIS software tools.
In 2015, Inglese joined Exeter Government Services, LLC, where they served as a Senior Systems Engineer. Here, they built an open source cloud computing platform from scratch, supporting both IaaS/PaaS and PaaS-only installations.
Currently, Inglese is a Senior Systems Engineer at Phoenix Operations Group, where they build, integrates, and tests software into Docker containers and deploys them into K8s/RKE2 environment using CI/CD pipeline. Charles also designs and maintains DevSecOps pipeline and writes custom Helm charts for deployment and integration.
Overall, Inglese has demonstrated expertise in system administration, software development, cloud integration, and systems architecture throughout their career.
Charles Inglese completed their Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Central Florida in 2005. Charles then pursued a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University from 2009 to 2011.
In terms of additional certifications, Charles obtained the RHCSA certification from Red Hat in December 2011 and followed it up with the RHCE certification in March 2012. In September 2013, they acquired the MapR Certified Administrator designation from MapR Technologies, which was later acquired by Hewlett Packard Enterprise company. Additionally, they obtained the CCAH (Certified Administrator for Apache Hadoop) certification from Cloudera in March 2013.
More recently, in February 2022, Charles achieved the Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS). In May 2018, they obtained the Security+ CE certification from CompTIA.
