Kevin Morton

Kevin Morton has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and technology. Kevin started their career in 2005 with Information Manufacturing Corporation as a Data Conversion Worker. Kevin then moved on to Leading Edge Design & Systems, Inc., where they worked as a Technology Intern, Network Security Engineer, and later as a Senior Software Engineer. During their time at Leading Edge Design & Systems, Inc., they gained experience in designing and implementing control and automation systems, programming communication protocols, and managing Cisco networking equipment.

Kevin later joined Potomac Fusion, which was acquired by Sotera Defense Solutions, Inc. Kevin continued their role as a Senior Software Engineer at Sotera Defense Solutions, Inc., where they supported mission-critical software, developed new features, and improved performance. Kevin also designed and maintained RESTful web services using Java and modern development practices.

In 2014, Kevin joined Zavda Technologies as an Application Engineer IV. Here, they were responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting a suite of Enterprise Management applications. Kevin worked closely with customers to gather requirements and designed solutions to streamline information processing.

Kevin'smost recent role is at Phoenix Operations Group, where they currently serve as a Senior Software Engineer. The details of their responsibilities in this role are not provided.

Kevin Morton completed their education with a Master's Degree in Applied Computer Science from Frostburg State University, which they obtained from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the same institution, studying from 2004 to 2007. Kevin started their education at Allegany College of Maryland, where they pursued an Associate's Degree in Information Systems from 2002 to 2004.

In addition to their formal education, Kevin has obtained several certifications. In 2022, they became an AWS Certified Developer Associate through Amazon. In 2015, they obtained the ITILv3 Foundation certification from ITIL. In 2010, they became a Crestron Certified Programmer through Crestron Electronics, Inc. Furthermore, they gained the Security+ certification from CompTIA in 2007, the Network+ certification in 2006, and the A+ certification in 2001.
