Katie McCormick

Community Care Specialist at Phoenix-Talent Schools

Katie McCormick has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Katie began their career as an AmeriCorps member with a focus on community service projects, including working with Habitat for Humanity and collaborating with the Mayor of Washington DC. From 2003 to 2004, they served as an AmeriCorps Team Leader.

In 2007, Katie joined CalSERVES as a Site Supervisor, overseeing program activities and supporting staff and AmeriCorps member professional development. Katie later transitioned to the role of Evaluation Coordinator, where they implemented evaluation plans, managed data, and generated reports.

In 2013, Katie became a Senior Project Coordinator at CalSERVES, responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing grant-funded projects. Katie supervised 120 AmeriCorps members and ensured the success of regional after school programs.

From 2014 to 2020, Katie worked at Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Santa Rosa. Katie served as a Database Manager in Development, overseeing data management systems and supporting fund development activities. Katie then became an Advancement Manager, responsible for managing The Raiser's Edge software and ensuring data accuracy and completeness.

Most recently, Katie joined Phoenix-Talent Schools in 2020 as a Child Behavior Specialist (SEL). Katie currently serves as a Community Care Specialist, although specific dates for these roles are not provided.

Katie McCormick began their education at Santa Rosa Junior College from 1999 to 2002, where they obtained an AA Degree in Associate Teaching Certificate. Following this, they went on to attend Gonzaga University from 2004 to 2006, earning a B.A. degree in Sociology.
