Rommel Duran

General Manager, Ecuador at Phoenix Tower International

Rommel Duran is the current General Manager for Phoenix Tower International in Ecuador. Prior to this, they served as the Country Manager for Torresec from July 2013 to April 2020. In this role, they were responsible for developing relationships with clients, managing over 400 telecommunication assets, and leading a team of contractors to keep projects on schedule and within budget. Rommel also has experience teaching at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador and UNIVERSIDAD DE LAS AMERICAS ECUADOR. Rommel began their career in 2008 as a Telecommunications Technician for Secretaría de Ambiente MDMQ before moving on to Telefónica, where they served as the Head of Site Acquisition from 2010 to 2013.

Rommel Duran has a Master of Science in Information Technology from Carnegie Mellon University, a Master's degree in Administración de Tecnologías de Información from Tecnológico de Monterrey, and a Master's degree in Comunicaciones Ópticas y Tecnologías Fotónicas from Politecnico di Torino. Rommel is also an engineer in Electrónica y Telecomunicaciones from Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas - ESPE.

Their manager is Dagan T. Kasavana, Founder & CEO. They are on a team with Adrien Villechalane - General Manager, FWI, Javier Fernandez - General Manager, Bolivia, and Scott Lewis - VP of Next Generation Solutions.
