Vladimir Trukhachev

Vladimir Trukhachev was born July 16, 1955 in Novokuznetsk (Kemerovo region). Graduated from the Stavropol Agricultural Institute of the Order of the Red Banner of Labor.

Since 2019 he has been the head of the Russian State Agrarian University - Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy. Prior to that, he worked for 20 years as the rector of the Stavropol State Agrarian University. In 2016, he was elected an academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, from 2018 - Chairman of the Association of Agrarian Universities of Russia "Agroeducation", from 2020 - head of the agricultural sciences section of the Russian Professors' Assembly.

Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Doctor of Economics, Professor.

He was awarded the Medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" II degree (1999), the Gold Medal of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation "For Contribution to the Development of the Agroindustrial Complex of Russia" (2005), the Order of Friendship (2005), the Diploma of the President of the Russian Federation (2015), the Gold M.F. Ivanov Medal of the Russian Academy of Sciences (2021), the Medal "For Contribution to the State Policy in Education and Scientific and Technological Development" (2022). Awarded the titles "Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation" (2008), "Honorary Worker of Science and Technology of the Russian Federation" (2010), "Honorary Worker of Agroindustrial Complex.
