Player Pate

Player Pate is a seasoned marketing executive with extensive experience in the cybersecurity and technology sectors. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Marketing at Phosphorus Cybersecurity Inc. since May 2025, Player previously held key marketing roles at Cisco, where as Senior Director of Security Product Marketing, Player led a high-performing team and significantly increased the customer base for security products. Prior to Cisco, Player was Head of Marketing at JouleX, overseeing the company's marketing strategy leading to its successful acquisition by Cisco in 2013. Player's earlier roles include Global Executive of Product Marketing at IBM Internet Security Systems, where Player enhanced customer renewal rates, and various positions at Internet Security Systems, where Player contributed to brand awareness and demand generation. Player holds dual Bachelor's degrees in Marketing and Philosophy from the College of Charleston.
