Sherri A. McFarland

Sherri A. McFarland has a diverse work experience in the field of chemistry and biochemistry. Sherri A. is currently working as a Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at The University of Texas at Arlington since September 2019. Prior to that, they served as the CSO and Founder of PhotoDynamic Inc. starting from April 2015. Sherri A. has also held positions as an Adjunct Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Dalhousie University from July 2013 and as a Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro from August 2016 to August 2019. Sherri A. began their academic career at Acadia University as a Professor of Chemistry in August 2005, and they served in that role until August 2018.

Sherri A. McFarland began their education in 1992 at Hendrix College, where they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Chemistry in 1996. Sherri A. then pursued further studies and joined UC San Diego for their Ph.D. in Chemistry, which they successfully completed in 2003. Afterward, Sherri attended Dalhousie University from 2003 to 2005, where they conducted post-doctoral research in the field of Ultrafast spectroscopy/inorganic photophysics.
