Carol De Vries has an extensive work experience in the semiconductor industry. Carol started their career at Philips Components Ceramic Innovation Center in 1982, where they held various management positions and conducted research. Carol later joined NXP (founded by Philips) as Vice President of System Technology. Carol then moved on to NXP semiconductors, where they served as VP & General Manager and later as Vice President of Innovation & Technology Automotive and Identification.
Carol also worked as CEO at Anagear, a venture capital-backed startup that develops ultra-low power energy harvesting solutions. Carol has held executive positions at Sensata Technologies and AMS AG, where they worked as General Manager and Director of Engineering for various product families.
Most recently, Carol has been working at PhotonDelta as the Chief Technology Officer. In this role, they are involved in developing the Dutch ecosystem and supporting new business development and startups in integrated photonics. Carol is also responsible for discovering new technological options and applications in various fields.
Throughout their career, Carol has demonstrated expertise in R&D, innovation, and business development, particularly in the automotive industry.
Carol De Vries completed their Master's degree in Plasma and High-Temperature Physics from Eindhoven University of Technology in the period between 1975 and 1982. Carol also pursued an MBA at INSEAD, which ended in 1996.
