Niklas Fondberg

Niklas Fondberg has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple roles and companies. Niklas started their career at i3 Micro Technology, where they worked as a System Developer, Development Manager, and Manager of User Interface Design. During their time there, they led the development team responsible for creating the next-generation Mood IPTV STB and successfully launched it in the largest IPTV deployment in the world. Niklas also built relationships with key technology players in the global IPTV industry.

Following their tenure at i3 Micro Technology, Fondberg joined Tilgin as the VP Strategic Business Developer and later became the Senior System Specialist. Niklas eventually became the Software Development Manager, overseeing a team of employees and consultants. Niklas'sresponsibilities included partner and third-party integration work for middleware, conditional access systems, and streaming servers.

After Tilgin, Fondberg worked at Ericsson as the System Manager IPTV and later as the Senior Solution Architect TV. Niklas was also the Chief Architect TV for a brief period. Niklas was involved in projects in Vienna, Austria, and A1 Telekom Austria, where they were responsible for the rollout and worked with new customers.

Fondberg then joined Com Hem AB as the Integration Manager & Technical Coordinator, where they coordinated and resolved integration and solution issues for the TiVo integration project.

Following their time at Com Hem AB, Fondberg worked at Teracom AB as the Technical Project Manager OTT, where they designed and deployed a transcoding and streaming cluster for OTT video delivery. Niklas was responsible for solutions design, project teams, partner deliveries, budget, operations handover, and launch.

Niklas later became a Technical Project Manager at Teracom Boxer Group, where they worked on new functionality in the OTT streaming service. Niklas was responsible for requirements, design, and solution deployment.

Fondberg then joined Edgeware AB as a Technical Project Manager and Solutions Architect, focusing on the initial product development of a new Just-In-Time OTT streaming solution. Niklas also worked on labs development and utilized technologies such as Just-In-Time repackaging, encryption, DRM, and HTTP Adaptive Streaming.

After Edgeware AB, Fondberg founded Vireone AB, where they served as the CTO and Founder. Niklas focused on technical project management, software and solutions architecture, and strategic decisions to advance the company's position in the market. Niklas held various roles, leading and contributing technically.

Most recently, Fondberg joined Photowall as a Senior Software Engineer, where they utilize their skills and experience to contribute to the development of software applications.

Niklas Fondberg obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Technological University Dublin, attending from 1991 to 1995. In 1997, they studied computer science at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Additionally, they attained a certification as a SCRUM Master from IT-Educations Kista in April 2005.
