Alex Hird

Alex Hird is the Vice President of Chemistry Programs at Photys. Alex has over 20 years of experience in the field of chemistry, working with both small and large companies. Alex has a passion for helping others and making a difference in the world. Alex has worked on many important projects, including leading the chemistry team at AstraZeneca and helping to develop new cancer treatments.

Alex Hird has a PhD in Chemistry from Boston College and a BA and MSci in Natural Sciences, Chemistry from the University of Cambridge.

They are on a team with Flo Wagner - VP Chemistry Platform, Sue Saalau - VP Biophysics & Proteomics, and Allison Malekiani - AD, PM. Alex Hird reports to Ed Holson, CSO. Some individuals on their team include Alexandria Taylor - AD Chemistry, Moses Moustakim - Senior Scientist.
