Pengyu Wang

Pengyu Wang is an accomplished data professional with extensive experience in data science and analytics. Currently serving as a Data Scientist at Phreesia since July 2023, Pengyu previously held a similar role at Shopify from May 2022 to May 2023, specializing in infrastructure data with a focus on resiliency, incident management, and handling flash sales. Prior to these positions, experience includes work as a Data Engineer at Hothead Games and as a Senior Data Analyst at BlueFocus, where responsibilities encompassed advanced analytics and algorithms. Earlier career stages involved positions as a Data Analyst and a Junior Data Scientist at BlueFocus and EARLY DATA, respectively. Academically, Pengyu holds a Master of Science in Computer Science with a concentration in Big Data from Simon Fraser University, as well as a Master’s Degree in Social Sciences from Uppsala University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising from Sichuan University.
