Courtney Christian

Deputy Vice President, Policy And Research at PhRMA

Courtney Christian has a strong background in policy and advocacy, with a focus on improving health equity and outcomes for underrepresented communities. Courtney has experience working with various government entities and nonprofit organizations. In their current role as Deputy Vice President at PhRMA, they lead cross-functional teams and manages the PhRMA Equity Initiative, a comprehensive strategy to expand diversity, equity, and inclusion in the industry. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Policy and Advocacy at the Black Women's Health Imperative. Courtney also has extensive legislative experience, having worked as a Legislative Director and Senior Legislative Assistant in the U.S. House of Representatives. Courtney's early career included roles in the United States Senate and the Florida Senate, where they gained valuable research and administrative experience.

Courtney Christian has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Communications from Florida State University. Courtney also holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from the same institution. Currently, they are pursuing an Executive MBA at Howard University School of Business.
