Renuka Iyer

Renuka Iyer, SPHR®, has a wealth of experience in various HR leadership roles. Renuka is currently serving as the EVP, Chief People & Culture Officer at PhRMA. From 2017 to 2022, they worked as the Chief Human Resources Officer at the World Resources Institute. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Human Resources at the International Executive Service Corps (IESC) from 2014 to 2017. In 2013 and 2014, they held the position of Director of People & Global HR Network & Training Manager at Population Services International. Earlier in their career, they worked as the Head of Human Resources at Levi Strauss & Co., Director of Human Resources at SoftBrands an Infor Affiliate, and Manager HR at Mistral Software Pvt Ltd. Renuka began their career as a Generalist at Maxworth Orchards India Ltd.

Renuka Iyer, SPHR®, holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Lady Doak College, which they obtained from 1989 to 1992. Renuka also has a Master's degree in Organization Development and Knowledge Management (ODKM) from George Mason University. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained multiple certifications, including the Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) Certification from HRCI in 2012, 2015, and 2018. Renuka is also a SHRM Senior Certified Professional and holds the SHRM-SCP certification. Renuka Iyer has completed additional certifications such as Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner from IBM in 2022 and Verified International Academic Qualifications from World Education Services in 2020.
