Darin Paul has a wide range of work experience in various engineering and management roles. Darin began their career at Continental Plastic Containers as a Design Engineer from 1990 to 1993. Then, they worked as a Project Engineer at Plastofilm Industries Inc from 1993 to 1995. After that, they joined Pactiv (formerly Tenneco Packaging) as a Project Manager from 1995 to 1998. From 1998 to 2000, they worked as a Corporate Process Engineer at Solo Cup Company. Darin then transitioned to Ferro Corporation as a Sales Engineer, where they focused on developing new business and maintaining existing accounts. From 2001 to 2010, Darin served as the Manager of Commercialization at Consolidated Container Company. Darin then moved to Constar International and worked as a Senior Manager of New Package Development and Commercialization from 2011 to 2013. Currently, Darin is employed at Phoenix as the VP of Engineering and Innovation since 2022. Prior to this role, they held the positions of VP of Product Development, Engineering & Quality from 2018 to 2022, Director of Engineering/R&D from 2015 to 2018, Director of Engineering from 2014 to 2015, and Senior Engineering Manager from 2013 to 2014.

Darin Paul completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Design / Plastics Manufacturing from Northern Illinois University, spanning from 1985 to 1989. Following this, they pursued further education and obtained a Masters Certificate in Project Management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, from 2002 to 2003.
