Edgar Duéñez-Guzmán

Edgar Duéñez-Guzmán is a seasoned professional in the field of artificial intelligence and computer science with extensive experience in both research and industry roles. Currently serving as an Advisor at Phygtl, Inc. and Co-Founder of a stealth AI startup since February 2025, Edgar previously held significant positions at Google DeepMind, including Staff Research Scientist and Staff Research Engineer, where efforts focused on Cooperative AI and social good. Prior to that, a role as Senior Software Engineer was undertaken at Google, leading the Image Selection project. Edgar's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a Ms. Sc. in Computing and Industrial Mathematics from the Center for Mathematical Research (CIMAT).
