John Chiuco

Director of Philanthropy at Physicians for Social Responsibility

John Chiuco is the Director of Philanthropy for Physicians for Social Responsibility where he works with members and funders in making PSR’s programmatic work possible.

He has worked in non-profit fundraising since 2015 in various roles connecting with individual and institutional donors. John is passionate about working with donors and matching their philanthropic interests with organizations and missions dedicated to making a difference in the communities and neighborhoods. John has channeled his passion into successful fundraising for causes including conservation and slowing climate change; gun violence prevention; workforce development; employee wellness and equity. John’s background also includes work in policy, advocacy, marketing, and communications. He has successfully used these skills to share the goals and outcomes of programmatic work with funders and other stakeholders. He brings his experience and leadership in philanthropy to advance PSR’s core mission to prevent the gravest threats to human health and connect donors with PSR’s work to create healthier communities around the country.

John is a Southern California native, with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Irvine. Outside of the office, John self-identifies as a techie, with a love for gadgets and the latest digital tools. He also enjoys games, sports, and breakfast foods at all hours.
