Bala Kumar Ganesan

Bala Kumar Ganesan has extensive work experience in the field of data engineering and business intelligence. Bala Kumar most recently served as the Director of Data Engineering at Pi Securities Public Company Limited, starting in April of 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as an Associate Engineering Manager at Skyscanner from September 2022 to March 2023.

From March 2021 to September 2022, Bala worked at Pomelo Fashion, initially as a Principal Data Engineer / Data Engineering Manager and then as a Business Intelligence Team Lead. Bala Kumar also worked at Agoda as a Business Intelligence Specialist from October 2018 to February 2019.

Bala began their career at AstraZeneca in September 2015, where they served as a Data Warehouse Consultant. In this role, they developed, supported, and enhanced various applications involving complex Informatica mappings. Bala Kumar also migrated a legacy Oracle Data Warehouse to AWS Redshift Data Warehouse. Prior to that, they worked at Tata Consultancy Services as a System Engineer from August 2011 to September 2015.

Bala Kumar Ganesan completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from PSG College of Technology from 2006 to 2011. Bala Kumar also obtained a certification as a Teradata Certified Professional from Teradata in the year 2013.
