Prashant Hegde

Prashant Hegde has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Starting in 1999 as a Product Manager at The SEARLE Company Ltd., they then worked at Wockhardt Ltd. as a Group Product Manager and later as a Marketing Manager for International Business. In 2005, they joined PI Industries Ltd. as a Sr. Manager for Product Portfolio, then became the General Manager for Marketing, and eventually the Vice President for Agri input. From 2008 to 2010, they worked at Monsanto Company, where they held various roles including Sales Head for Vegetable Seeds in South Asia. Prashant then worked as the Sales Director for South Asia and later as the Director for Technology Licensing before becoming the Business Head for Vegetable Seeds in the Asia Pacific region. From 2018 to 2020, Prashant worked at Bayer Crop Science as the Business Head for Vegetable Seeds in Asia Pacific. Currently, they are the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Agri business at PI Industries Ltd.

Prashant Hegde has a Bachelor of Science degree in Agri from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad. Prashant also holds a Master of Science degree in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). Additionally, they completed an MBA in Business Administration and Management, General from Monash University.
