Sungbong Jang started working as a Genetic Research Specialist at Pig Improvement Company (PIC) - North America in August 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Georgia since August 2019. In 2020, they also completed an internship at American Angus Association as an Intern in Angus Genetics Inc., where they focused on adjusting for age of dam and age of calf on weaning weight and analyzing the SxH interaction effect in the evaluation model.
Sungbong Jang's education history showcases a strong focus on animal sciences and breeding genetics. From 2011 to 2017, Sungbong attended Chungnam National University, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Animal Sciences. Subsequently, from 2017 to 2019, Sungbong pursued a Master's degree in Animal Breeding and Genetics, still at Chungnam National University. More recently, from 2019 to 2022, Sungbong further enhanced their academic qualifications by attending The University of Georgia, where they completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Animal Breeding and Genetics.
