Ken Roper

Ken Roper is a seasoned legal and administrative professional currently serving as the County Administrator for Pickens County, South Carolina since June 2020. Previously, Ken held the roles of Acting Administrator and County Attorney within the same county from July 2016 to June 2020. Ken's earlier legal experience includes serving as an Attorney/Member at Roper Law Firm, LLC from October 2001 to June 2016, and as a Career Criminal Prosecutor at the Thirteenth Circuit Solicitor's Office from January 1998 to October 2001, as well as an Assistant Solicitor at the Ninth Circuit Solicitor's Office from December 1994 to January 1998. Ken Roper holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Furman University.
