Patrick Flora, PMP

Patrick Flora, PMP has diverse work experience in both engineering and management roles. Patrick worked at Pickering Associates, Inc. from 2014 to the present, starting as a Process Engineer before becoming the Piping Engineering Department Manager and eventually the Director of Industrial Design. In their role as a Process Engineer, they utilized their skills in General and Process Engineering to develop PFDs, P&IDs, and ensure material and energy balances. Patrick also assisted the Process Group with equipment specification, proposal development, and Process Safety Management.

Prior to their time at Pickering Associates, Inc., Patrick worked at West Virginia University from 2010 to 2014. Patrick served as an Intramural Supervisor, overseeing officials and ensuring smooth game operations. Patrick also led the training of officials and implemented a program to rate and review officials for higher quality during playoffs. Additionally, they worked as a Teaching Assistant, supervising students in the muscle foods technology lab and promoting safety while explaining chemical engineering principles.

Patrick Flora, PMP, holds a Master's Degree in Engineering Management from Marshall University, which they obtained from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemical Engineering from West Virginia University from 2009 to 2014. In addition to their academic achievements, Patrick Flora also possesses the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, which they obtained in August 2022. Patrick also holds an Engineering-in-Training (EIT) certification from the West Virginia State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers, earned in May 2014.
