Michael Bissell

Michael Bissell, PhD, is a Senior Data Scientist and Biostatistician at PicnicHealth with extensive expertise in Real World Data (RWD) and Real World Evidence (RWE) since October 2022. Concurrently, Michael serves as an Online Course Facilitator for the Master's Program in Computer Science at Boston University, where responsibilities include supporting students in statistics and data science. Prior experience includes a significant role at the University of California, Davis as a RWD/RWE Biostatistician and Epidemiologist, contributing to the Breast Cancer Surveillance Consortium and leading various data-driven projects. An accomplished academic, Michael holds a Ph.D. in Epidemiology with an emphasis in Biostatistics, as well as multiple master's degrees in Statistics and Applied Mathematics, complemented by a strong foundation in economics and Japanese language studies.
