Ryan Kuhlenbeck

Ryan Kuhlenbeck is the current CEO at Pico MES. Prior to this, they were the Director of Advanced Manufacturing at Alta Motors from May 2015 to October 2018. Ryan was responsible for the factory and manufacturing systems utilized for volume production of high voltage batteries, electronics, and motorcycles. Ryan also led the manufacturing engineering team and hourly operators creating Alta's products. In addition, they were responsible for facilities and safety. Prior to their work at Alta Motors, Kuhlenbeck worked as a Sr Function Development & Calibration Engineer at Tula Technology Inc. from March 2013 to April 2015. In this position, they were responsible for vehicle level calibrations of dynamic skip fire and related vehicle systems. Ryan also was in charge of engine dyno facility design and implementation of control module integration, sensing and harnessing. Before Tula Technology Inc., Kuhlenbeck worked as a Sr. Mechanical Engineer at Tesla Motors from November 2011 to March 2013. In this role, they were a design team member responsible for design for manufacturing criteria applied to battery system components as well as assembly plant support for issue resolution. Ryan was also loaned to supply chain for supplier development and rapid issue resolution, focusing on stamping, machining, extruding, and casting related components that were gating the ramp of the Model S.

Ryan Kuhlenbeck's educational career began with a BSME from Missouri University of Science and Technology. Ryan then went on to pursue a career in mechanical engineering.
