Anne Petersen

Anne Petersen is the current Chief Strategy Officer at Pico Trading. Anne has over 10 years of experience working in environmental policy and project management. Anne has a deep understanding of the benefits of transnational cooperation in marine and fresh water management, socio-economic evaluation, and cost-benefit analysis of environmental policies and instruments. Anne has also developed financial instruments to support transnational marine environmental cooperation and has organized and facilitated expert workshops. In their previous role as Project Manager for Energy and Climate at Deutsche Uwelthilfe, Anne was responsible for coordinating stakeholder networks, advocating for climate change mitigation, and cross-divisional coordination of policy papers on climate and energy. Anne has also worked as an Assistant Public Policy and Projects at ubitricity.

Anne Petersen studied Diplom Politikwissenschaften/ M.A. Political Sciences at the Freie Universität Berlin from 2005 until 2014. Thesis topics included Offshore Wind Energy Policy in Germany, Renewable energy policy: innovation policy, discourses on risk and technology, actor analysis and International climate politics and market based mechanisms. Trainings on facilitation of group discussions were also part of the education.
