Fergal Toomey

Chief Scientist at Pico

Fergal Toomey's work experience began in 1998 as an Assistant Professor at the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies. Fergal then joined Corvil in 2000 as a Network Scientist and later became their Chief Scientist in 2005. In 2019, Toomey started working as the Chief Scientist at Pico.

Fergal Toomey has a strong educational background in physics and probability. Fergal obtained their Ph.D. in Applied Probability from Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies from 1993 to 1997. Prior to that, they completed their M.Sc. in Theoretical Physics at Trinity College Dublin from 1992 to 1993 and their B.A. in Theoretical Physics at the same institution from 1988 to 1992. Fergal Toomey also holds a European Baccalaureat degree from Ecole Europeen Uccle, although specific dates are not provided for this qualification.
