Rebecca Posamentier

Rebecca Posamentier is an experienced educator and community leader, currently serving as a substitute teacher for Piedmont Unified School District since July 2023. In addition to this role, Posamentier holds positions as Commissioner of the Recreation Commission for the City of Piedmont, CA, and as Chairperson of the Board for the Piedmont Arts Fund, both since 2018. Long-term commitments include serving as Vice President and Board Member for Camp Augusta and as Prevention Manager for Shalom Bayit, focused on ending domestic violence in Jewish homes. Notably, Posamentier co-founded the Bay Area Children's Theatre, which significantly impacts the community by reaching over 114,000 individuals annually through educational programming. Previous roles include event management at Kaiser Permanente International and program management at the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco, showcasing a diverse skill set in education, program development, and community engagement. Posamentier holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in World Arts and Cultures with Honors from UCLA.
