Stephen Ostaszewicz, MBA has a wealth of experience in the business and sports industries. Stephen began their career in 1992 as a Graduate Assistant Sports Information Director and Player for the Men's Hockey Team at Niagara University. In 2000, they moved on to become the Director of Communications for College Hockey America. In 2001, they assumed the role of Manager of Multimedia for the Columbus Blue Jackets. In 2004, they joined KPMG Canada as a Tax Specialist, and also became Assistant General Manager/ Director of Player Development for the St. Catharines Falcons Junior Hockey Club. In 2005, they began working for GE Appliances Canada, a Mabe Company, and held the roles of Controller & Company Secretary, Manager, Tax & Treasury, and Tax Manager. In 2008, they began working as an Agent/Family Advisor for Top Shelf Sports Management Inc. In 2012, they became President & Alternate Governor (AHL Board of Governors) for the Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Club. Finally, in 2016, they joined Restaurant Brands International as Head of Franchising - Tim Hortons Brand USA, Head Of Finance - Tim Hortons Brand USA, Head Of Operations - Tim Hortons Brand USA, Director, Business Development - Tim Hortons Brand Canada, and Manager, Business Development - Tim Hortons Brand Canada. Stephen is currently Chief Financial Officer of Pieology Pizzeria.
Stephen Ostaszewicz, MBA holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) from Niagara University, which they obtained in 1996. Stephen then returned to Niagara University to pursue an MBA in Finance, which they completed in 2002. Subsequently, they have taken a number of courses from The Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, such as the IFRS Immersion 1 Course (2012), The Controllership Program - Management Competencies (2010), In-Depth Provincial Sales Tax Course (2007), In-Depth Tax Course - Part II (2006), and In-Depth Tax Course - Part I (2005).
