Reza Rahimi, PhD, PE, currently serves as a Senior Structural Engineer at Pierce Engineers, Inc. since August 2021, following a prior role in the same capacity at WSP USA from May 2015 to August 2021, where contributions included significant seismic performance-based designs and efficiency tool development. Previous positions included structural engineering roles involving the design of structural components for various building types and vibration analysis, with experience gained through a research assistantship at The University of Akron focused on numerical modeling and non-contact strain sensing. Academic qualifications encompass a PhD in Structural Engineering from The University of Akron, a Master's in Coastal Engineering from the University of Tehran, and a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from the same institution.

Pierce Engineers is a structural engineering firm based in the Midwest, working with clients across the nation. Our three offices in Milwaukee, Madison, and Chicago work as one team with daily interaction and coordination on technical topics, projects, and management. The PE team has a traditional hierarchy of positions and roles, but we work horizontally fostering engagement from all levels of experience to create a successful team and develop our younger staff. Our practice is founded on building lasting relationships with clients and industry partners, who appreciate our teamwork and cost-focused approach to structural engineering. While our experience and expertise touch all types of building projects, we find that the best projects are the ones where the team works in a collaborative approach to deliver a successful project.
