Sam Timbers is a Senior System Analyst at Pierce Transit since August 2014, specializing in Computer Aided Dispatch and Automated Vehicle Location Systems. Previously, Sam served as a System Analyst, focusing on Geographic Information Systems integration with Automated Vehicle Location and the interplay of Automated Vehicle Announcement systems. Prior experience includes a role as a Student Researcher at the University of Washington from 2008 to 2009 and as the Navigation Lead Petty Officer in the U.S. Coast Guard from June 2002 to June 2006, where management of the Navigation Division on CGC Juniper was undertaken. Sam holds a BA in Urban Studies and a Certificate in Geographic Information Systems from the University of Washington, completed between 2007 and 2009.
