Gordon Strain is a seasoned theatre professional with extensive experience in both academic and production settings. Currently, Strain serves as a Professor of Theatre at Franklin College since August 2006 and co-owns Pigasus Pictures since 2017, where Strain also holds the title of Producer. Concurrently, Strain is co-owner and co-director of the Franklin Department of Public Art, LLC, and works as a Scenic Designer and Teacher for Indiana Repertory Theatre. In addition to these roles, Strain has operated Koi Pond Beach Productions as Owner and Freelance Designer since January 2009, and held the position of Associate Designer at Spaeth Design in 2005. Earlier career highlights include serving as Lead Artist and Project Manager at ArtWorks Cincinnati and as Teacher and Technical Theatre Director at Cincinnati Country Day School. Strain possesses a Master of Fine Arts in Scenic Design from Indiana University Bloomington and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatrical Production Arts from Ithaca College.
