Joanna Nelson Rendon currently serves as the Director of Organizational Development and the Director of Young Adult Services at Pikes Peak Library District, overseeing programs and outreach for youth ages 12-24. With a background in supervising staff and facilitating services for both teens and adults, Joanna has held various roles including Adult Services Manager at East Library and Teen Services Coordinator. Additionally, Joanna co-chaired the Leadership Development Committee for the Colorado Association of Libraries, focusing on leadership education and training. An experienced educator, Joanna taught Young Adult Materials and Services as an adjunct professor at the University of Denver. Prior work includes providing virtual reference services with AskColorado, and various roles in library services and volunteer organizations. Joanna holds a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Denver and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota.
