Sean Ho has a diverse work experience in various industries. Sean started their career as a Business Analyst Intern at Accenture in 2016, where they played a crucial role in a repricing project by gathering requirements, designing and testing the repricing module. Sean also executed User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and bridged the gap between business users and the offshore technical team.
In 2016, Sean also served as a Sports Officer at the University of Bath Malaysian Society (BAMSA). Sean was responsible for organizing the yearly flagship sporting event and providing support to fellow members of the club, while closely interacting with university staff and officials.
Sean then moved on to work as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Bath in 2017, where they utilized COMSOL, a CFD package, to model the effects of membrane geometries on the mass transfer of ozone in wastewater treatment. Sean also explored the effects of reactions between ozone and micro-pollutants.
In 2018, Sean interned as a Packaging Engineer at Johnson & Johnson, where they conducted qualification tests for new packaging materials and performed process validations for a new packaging line. Sean also conducted inspections on packaging materials to minimize defect proportions.
In 2019, they worked as a Process Engineer at Aker Solutions, where they were involved in bid engineering and cost estimation for a major FPSO project. Sean collaborated with MISC Berhad during the design phase.
In 2020, Sean joined Deriv as a Frontend Developer. Sean managed release pipelines for major products, collaborated with various teams for the development work, and developed and maintained new features and pages.
Currently, Sean is working at Piktochart as a Frontend Developer. Sean previously held the position of Frontend Developer and is now serving as the Frontend Tech Lead.
