Kirsten Rose FTSE GAICD serves as the Deputy Chief Executive and Executive Director of Future Industries at the CSIRO since August 2020, and has recently taken on the role of Non-Executive Director at Pilbara Ports as of December 2023. Kirsten holds directorial roles at AmCham Australia and previously at CEDA, contributing to the WA State Advisory Council. Kirsten chaired the Defence Science Centre of Western Australia from 2021 until February 2023, supporting collaboration within the national Defence enterprise. Pilbara Ports
Pilbara Ports is the world’s largest bulk export port authority. It encompasses the ports of Ashburton, Dampier, Port Hedland and Varanus Island, and the future ports of Anketell, Cape Preston East and Balla Balla. Pilbara Ports operates as a Western Australian Government Trading Enterprise, and is governed under the Port Authorities Act 1999 WA. Pilbara Ports is to also assume oversight of a number of other ports currently administered by the Department of Transport under the Shipping and Pilotage Act. These include Barrow Island, Cape Preston, Onslow, and Port Walcott.
