Scott Toman

Scott Toman has a significant background in sales and business development within the biosciences industry. Scott currently holds the position of Vice President, Business Development and Sales at Pillar Biosciences Incorporated since July 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing at ChromaCode, Inc. from May 2021 to July 2022. From April 2019 to May 2021, they worked as the Executive Director of Global Clinical Sales, CDx Business Unit at Promega Corporation.

Before their role at Promega, Scott held various positions at Hologic, starting off as the Area Business Director SE U.S. and Director of AgBio and Dx Business Development from October 2012 to October 2016. Scott later served as the Area Business Director NE U.S. and Director of Public Health/DOD from October 2016 to July 2018. Prior to their tenure at Hologic, they worked as the National Sales Director and Director of National Accounts and AgBio at Hologic, Inc. from October 2008 to October 2012.

Scott's career in the biosciences industry also includes roles at Third Wave Technologies, where they served as the Director of Sales, East from September 2005 to October 2008, and at Roche Diagnostics as a Senior Molecular Account Specialist from February 2000 to September 2005. Scott started their career as a Technical Sales Representative at Gen-Probe Incorporated from March 1996 to February 2000 and later worked as a Senior Technical Sales Representative at Helena Laboratories Corporation from December 1993 to March 1996.

Scott Toman attended Virginia Tech from 1988 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Chemistry.
